I'm going to kill Rick Sutcliff....

.... if I hear him say another f-ing thing...

First it was that the Red Sox and Yankee rivalry started with the Sox beating them in the playoffs last year. I thought I was just hearing things, and then he had to follow it up and clarify it by saying that no rivalry existed before.

I was almost willing to let it go until he said that the addition of the Green Monster seats has "really made this place special."

Like it wasn't the most beautiful (or if you're a Cubs fan, second most beautiful) park in the league with an awesome atmosphere to boot?

I'll be watching you, Sutcliff!

Look Mr. Gracie he is a former Cub, and what have I said about the Cubs. The only thing that he said that made sense was about Schilling's delivery. The ankle is still not right and he throwing all arm, which is not what power pitchers do. I think he came back too soon, but then I can not manage a roto team. Now the Sox may be playing with fire. I think if this experiment does not work out. Look for them to go try to get a closer. But other than that I give you my blessing to take down the Red Baron.

He did make a good observation about Schilling's leg, but that was a bit obvious...almost like me watching a writer work and pointing out that he was typing on his keyboard but the computer wasn't on.

As for your other point, I say bring back Lee Smith!

Lee Arthur Smith, the Sleepy Sam Perkins of MLB. If you woke Lee up before the 6th he would go nuts. Hell I think he mauled two bullpen cathers and a middle reliver back in '91 because some awoke the sleeping Lee.

Maybe we can help each other out. I will go sucker punch Schiraldi and keep him from showing up at Fenway, as long as you can detain and wound Ron Kittle, deal?

This is yet another case of how the media, and Madison Avenue, assign importance to people (see John Rocker) who are of no importance. Who cares what Rick Sutcliffe has to say about anything?
